Elevating Digital Education: Discover the Latest Enhancements to HighScores

Greetings, esteemed educators!

In our continuous quest to enhance the HighScores platform, we are thrilled to unveil a series of updates designed to enrich your teaching experience and provide your students with a more robust learning journey. These updates focus on streamlining processes, offering deeper insights into student performance, and ensuring a secure testing environment.

What’s New in HighScores:

Proctored Assessment Settings: In response to the growing need for secure online testing, we’ve introduced proctored assessment settings. This feature allows teachers and directors to activate a proctoring mode for any test, enabling real-time monitoring of students through their device cameras. This addition ensures the integrity of the testing environment, providing peace of mind for both educators and students.

Classroom Student Count: Our new student count feature makes understanding the dynamics of your classroom easier. Below the name of each classroom, you’ll find the number of active, pending, and deleted students. This quick overview aids in efficiently managing your classroom and keeping track of student engagement.

Assessment Raw Score Report: To provide a more comprehensive view of student performance, directors and teachers can now download a raw score report for each assessment. This report includes vital information such as the number of correct and incorrect answers, missed questions, and scores by subject. These insights are invaluable for identifying areas of strength and improvement in student performance.

Answer Sheet Download: For a more detailed analysis of assessments, the answer sheets can now be downloaded in Excel format. This feature allows educators to review all questions in the order they appeared during the assessment, facilitating a thorough evaluation of student responses.

User Management Enhancements: To streamline user management, we’ve added a label in the user’s edit window indicating whether a user was added by the director or signed up via email or Facebook. This clarity helps directors better understand user acquisition and manage their institute’s users more effectively.

Email Notifications for Targeted Practice Tests: Personalization is key to effective learning. Teachers and directors can now create and assign personalized practice tests based on students’ performance in previous assessments. When a targeted assessment is created, an email notification is sent to the student with the assessment name and a link to attempt the test. This feature ensures that students are aware of their tailored practice sessions and can easily access them.

Comprehensive PSAT Preparation: Expanding our offerings, we now include a full suite of resources for PSAT preparation, including full-length tests and section tests for Math, Reading, and Writing. This addition allows educators to provide thorough preparation for students aiming to excel in the PSAT, alongside the existing DSAT and ACT resources.

What’s Coming Next:

We’re not stopping here! Here are some upcoming features to look forward to:

Downloadable Classroom Analysis: Soon, you’ll be able to download and share classroom analysis reports as PDFs.

Revamped Student Reports: We’re updating the format of student reports based on your feedback to include more detailed insights.

Recalculation of Historic Scores: If a question’s answer is corrected post-test, we’ll offer the ability to recalculate affected historic scores.

Training Videos: New training videos are in the works to help new users navigate the updated interface with ease.

ACT Science Section Tests: We’re developing new section tests to bolster ACT Science preparation.

More Challenging Math Questions: In response to recent DSAT tests and your feedback, we’re adding tougher questions to the DSAT math section.

Optional Dashboard for Teachers and Students: Soon, you’ll have the option to configure the visibility of the dashboard based on your needs.

Polling of Questions: We’re working on a simple interface for polling questions, ideal for engaging students in group class settings.

We’re committed to continually evolving the HighScores platform to meet the dynamic needs of the digital education landscape. Your feedback is instrumental in shaping these updates, and we look forward to hearing your thoughts on these new features.

Stay tuned for more updates, and as always, happy teaching!
