Our company has two verticals — learning to code, i.e., CodeMode, and test prep, i.e., HighScores — both of which utilize the same homegrown platform.
Chatbots, artificial intelligence, and machine learning have gradually transformed many areas of life, including education. As we continue improving our learning management system, especially for middle and high school students learning to code and prepare for SAT/ACT, we’re excited to introduce our latest tool: ChatGPT integration. This powerful AI language model by OpenAI can streamline operations for teachers and students, fostering an engaging, intuitive, and seamless learning environment.
Optimizing Content Development for Teachers and Instructors
ChatGPT offers several features to enhance the teaching experience. For instance, it can generate diverse questions for your question bank or tests, factoring in the subject, unit, topic, type of question, and complexity. This allows teachers to expand their question pool, promote varied learning, and cater to different cognitive styles.
It also allows for a wizard-style user interface that guides the teacher in creating a new course from scratch. This step-by-step process eliminates guesswork, ensuring a comprehensive course structure aligned with the learning objectives. The integration further extends to enhancing existing learning content, with the AI providing suggestions that teachers can accept or reject at their discretion.
Improving Student Interaction
Our ChatGPT integration allows students to seek clarification or pose queries in the learning content section. With the integration of ChatGPT, teachers can add comprehensive test cases to existing coding questions, thereby enhancing the evaluation process. Currently, many of our questions are supported by three test cases. AI integration can significantly improve this coverage, ensuring a more robust and thorough assessment of the students’ coding skills.
Using Dall-E for Image Creation
Teachers can leverage Dall-E, an AI that creates images from textual descriptions, to upload pictures when creating assessments and courses. This also opens up a world of creative possibilities, enhancing visual representation and understanding in the learning process.
Implementing Sentiment Analysis
Lastly, we’ve included sentiment analysis on student feedback. With this, we can understand student satisfaction better, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes swiftly. This applies to feedback received on individual questions, assessments, and courses.
