We’re excited to bring you a new set of updates aimed at making HighScores more powerful, user-friendly, and efficient. This time, we’ve focused on enhancing both content and platform functionality, ensuring that teachers and students get the best experience possible.
✅ More high-quality SAT & ACT practice content
✅ Smarter tools for lead management & student tracking
✅ Better assessment and test-taking features
✅ A more streamlined, user-friendly interface
Whether you’re a teacher looking for more control over assessments or a student who needs better practice tools, these updates will give you more flexibility, efficiency, and ease of use.
Now, let’s take a closer look at the key changes, broken down into content updates and platform improvements.
Content Updates
We know that consistent, high-quality practice is key to student success, so we are adding more content than ever to help students build confidence and master every topic.
1. 1200+ New Math Questions Added:
To ensure students never run out of practice material, we’ve added over 1200 new math questions spanning multiple topics and difficulty levels. These will help students develop problem-solving skills across different question types and prepare them more effectively for exams.
🔎 To find these questions, use the tag: “cquiz” in the question bank.
2. 199 Extra Geometry & Trigonometry Questions:
We received multiple requests for more practice in Geometry & Trigonometry, so we’ve added 199 extra questions to ensure students have the necessary reinforcement in these subjects.
🔎 Search for these using the tag: “hsaipm”
What’s Coming Next in Content?
We’re not stopping here! Here’s what’s coming soon:
1. ACT Math Course Expansion – We’re developing a six-unit ACT Math course covering:
- Pre-Algebra (Launching next week!)
- Elementary Algebra
- Plane Geometry
- Intermediate Algebra
- Coordinate Geometry
- Trigonometry
2. 200 More SAT-Aligned Questions – Our SAT question bank is growing with 200 additional questions to closely match the real exam.
3. New Digital ACT Math Questions – To support students preparing for the digital ACT, we are adding new full-length tests and practice pools for ACT Math. We are also working on revising English, Reading, and Science sections to match the latest ACT structure.
Platform Changes
1. Smarter Lead Management: Capture Student Data Effortlessly
Following up with new leads can be time-consuming. Now, you can automatically collect important student details like their target exam, score goals, and test date immediately after they complete a diagnostic test. Our new feature allows you to automatically collect critical details like:
✅ Target exam
✅ Score goals
✅ Exam date
This data is collected immediately after a student completes a diagnostic test, helping you create personalized learning plans and follow up effectively.
How to Enable This Feature:
1. Go to Profile → My Institute → Preferences
2. Toggle ON “Capture Student’s Additional Data”
Once enabled, students must enter their details after completing a diagnostic test before viewing results.
2. Show Targeted Test Options to Unlicensed Students
Previously, new students didn’t even know about Targeted Tests because the option was hidden. Now, it will be visible (but disabled), giving students a preview of what they can unlock by upgrading.
This small change increases conversions by making students aware of premium features before they purchase!
3. Archive Classrooms to Keep Your Dashboard Organized
As classrooms accumulate, it becomes harder to find what you need. We’ve now introduced an archive option so you can hide classrooms you no longer need while keeping them accessible for future reference.
How to Archive a Classroom:
1. Open Classroom
2. Go to Settings → Archive
Archived classrooms can be restored at any time if needed.
4. Restrict Assessments for Unlicensed Students
Teachers often want to show assessments to potential students without granting them full access. Now, you can display assessments but keep them locked, increasing student interest and conversion potential.
How to Enable:
1. Go to Assessment Settings
2. Toggle ON “Show to Unassigned Students”
5. ACT Time Accommodations Are Now Available
Just like SAT, students taking the ACT can now have three different time accommodation options that match the official test.
How to Enable:
1. Go to Students Tab
2. Find the ACT student
3. Click down arrow → ACT Time Accommodation
4. Choose the accommodation option that applies
This ensures students with special requirements have the proper test-taking environment!
6. Download Student Results Directly from the Classroom
We’ve added a quick and easy way for teachers to download student results directly from the classroom page. This means you can now access all student performance data in one place without navigating through multiple sections.
How to Download Results:
1. Go to Classroom
2. Click on the Results tab
3. Select “Download Results”
7. Updated Self-Practice Algorithm for Better Learning
We’ve improved self-practice mode to ensure students always get a balanced mix of easy, medium, and hard questions. Now, students will automatically receive at least 3-5 questions across all difficulty levels per selected unit.
8. Push Questions to the Bank for Student Practice
Previously, test and questions remained in draft mode unless published. Now, you can push test questions to the question bank with a single click, allowing students to use them in self, targeted, and custom practice.
How to Push Questions to the Question Bank:
1. Open a test
2. Go to Questions
3. Select the questions
4. Click “Push to Question Bank”
What’s Coming Next on in terms of platform?
1. Allow selected students to set their own time accommodations – Reduces admin work by letting students adjust their own settings.
2. “All Instructors” setting in custom assessments – Lets all instructors access and manage custom assessments easily.
3. Show student feedback & comments in 360 Student Page – Provides a full view of student concerns in one place.
4. Replace Strength/Weakness Graph with Proficiency Measurement – Gives clearer, more actionable progress tracking.
5. Filter Licensed Students vs. New Leads in Diagnostics & Student Pages – Helps institutions manage students and potential leads more efficiently.
6. Add streaks in Question of the Day – Motivates students to practice consistently and improve retention.
These updates are all about making teaching, learning, and student management easier and more effective. Whether it’s expanding practice content, improving assessment tools, or enhancing lead tracking, our goal is to ensure you get the best possible experience on HighScores.
We’d love to hear your feedback! Try out these updates and let us know how they’re helping you.
